Cases · Results with sources

The result comes first. The method and the source come with it.

Each case shows the context, the problem, what was done, the result and how it was measured. One institution's result is not a promise for another.

ATAS O2 · Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein

Automatic recording captured about 3.5 times more oxygen hours than the medical record

  • Context

Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein: 21 beds of a semi-intensive coronary unit, followed for five months.

  • Problem

Manual recording fails to capture part of the oxygen therapy. The study measures how much.

  • What was done

ATAS O2 recorded at the bed the start, end, flow and duration of each oxygen therapy. The study compared that record with the electronic medical record.

Result · Published study

  • Oxygen hours per bed

    ATAS O2
    566.9 h
    Electronic medical record
    163.6 h

    About 3.5 timesmore hours recorded

  • Oxygen therapy cycles per bed

    ATAS O2

    Electronic medical record

More than 11 timesmore cycles recorded

Comparison made across 21 beds of a semi-intensive coronary unit, over five months. The study measures how much of the oxygen therapy manual recording fails to capture.

One hospital's result is not a promise for another.

The study measures how much oxygen therapy the medical record failed to capture. It does not measure monetary value.

HAI · Home care

Setting up care for a new patient went from 8 days to 33 hours

  • Context

Large home care operation, with records from the HAI platform and from the client's management system.

  • Problem

Before, setting up care for a new patient took 8 days, approximately 45% of admissions took place without a prior assessment and only 0.15% of visits and prescriptions were under digital management.

  • What was done

Information now comes from a single record of each visit, on the HAI platform. The system alerts; the care decision belongs to the professional.
